Wave Studios and Dave Dye Stay Connected with 'Wave + Dave' Podcasts

During these challenging times, it’s important to stay connected. Many lives have been turned upside down, so touching base with others from both people's personal life and work makes all the difference.

The idea for the podcasts ‘Wave + Dave’ was the brainchild of sound designer Parv Thind of Wave Studios. He found that he was missing the daily interaction with his colleagues and industry people, and thought it would be a great idea to catch up with them while in lockdown to see how they’re all doing. He considered who best to team up with and naturally turned to legendary art director Dave Dye, the CCO and founder of LOVE or Fear.

Dave already hosts the popular podcast ‘Stuff from the Loft’, where he discusses all things advertising, while chatting with some of the industry’s leading creative folk. In just a few days ‘Wave + Dave’ was born.

Kicking off, they both approached people they knew in the industry to see if they may want to get involved. The response was amazing and so far they have released three of the daily podcasts both on Wave’s social channels, website and sound cloud, plus other platforms to be announced. By answering just a few light hearted questions, viewers not only get an insight into their current situation, but also get a moment to just have some fun during these difficult times.

Starting with director, podcaster and football fanatic, Theo Delaney, the guys cover many subjects and even enquire about how much loo roll he’s been hoarding. In episode two, they speak to Ben Mooge, CCO of Publicis Groupe UK about how much he’s missing seeing industry people and how the premier league should be voided. Next up is creative director, Charlotte Adorjan where she shares what she’s been up to since leaving AMV and her recommendations for keeping entertained.

More episodes to be released daily are with Ben Walker, Tim Riley, Paul Burke, Oli Beale and Yvonne Chalkley, with more people to record each week. Their hope is to keep this all going while in lockdown by launching a new podcast each day.
