Toronto-based production company, Impossible Studios, has partnered with ET Canada, The Globe and Mail, Warner Music Canada, Blackjet Inc and more to bring a star-studded virtual gala to life for War Child Canada.
War Child, a global humanitarian origination, is hosting the Rise Together gala in an effort to support vulnerable war-affected children and their families during the Covid-19 pandemic. The event has been pulled together by a number of sponsors and will feature Sting, Sarah McLachlan, Stranger Things’ David Harbour, Amanda Seyfried and will be hosted by ET Canada’s Sangita Patel.
The production of the gala was done remotely, with teams from across Canada donating their services to produce pre-recorded content to be cut into the live virtual show.
“Not many of us can remember a time as fraught as the one we find ourselves in now.” said War Child ambassador and actor, Thomas Sadoski. “But this can be our beacon: joining to help women and children rebuild their lives and their communities that have been shattered by war. The opportunity and support War Child provides helps communities rebuild from foundation to freedom. I’m so honoured to join with this tremendous group of artists and humanitarians to support the courage and power of the women and children who inspire us to rise together."
Rise Together will take place
