Brooklyn-based production company Voyager have signed to RepresentationCo.’s Favorite Child roster, and will be represented by Erin Wahed on the East Coast. This is Voyager’s first commercial representation.
Voyager, who burst onto the production company scene nearly three years ago with founding director Charles Frank’s intimate documentaries, quickly established itself as an incubator for new talent. Helmed by EP Andrew Hutcheson, Voyager successfully launched director Henry Busby, garnering him the D&AD Next Director Award and a Cannes Young Directors Award within a single year, catapulting him onto Rattling Stick’s radar. Earlier this year, Voyager welcomed editor-turned-director Caitlyn Green (HBO’s The Jinx), and directors Marcus Tortorici and Andrew Litten to their roster. Voyager has recently worked with BBDO, TBWA/Chiat/Day, Translation, Vice, P&G, Champion, and Facebook among others. Voyager’s first feature, a documentary by Charles Frank, is currently in post-production.
”Voyager was started humbly by three friends as a production company that could sustain us to make the kind of films and content we wanted to watch. We’re thrilled it’s working out so far,” says EP Andrew Hutcheson. “And now I’m enormously excited to be joining forces with the incomparable Erin Wahed and the whole Favorite Child / RepresentationCo family. Their careful curation and familial attitude feels like a natural fit with our ambitions and values, and I look forward to working with Erin and her team to uncover new opportunities.”
Favorite Child was launched as a branch of RepresentationCo to speak to the ongoing creative evolution in the industry. “We believe that as the landscape of interesting opportunities grows, changes, and develops, a company with a vision and heart like Voyager's can and should be heard,” says Erin Wahed. “Voyager shares Favorite Child’s commitment to originality and excellence. We are excited to collaborate with Andrew Hutcheson and Voyager’s spacecraft full of talented directors.”
Voyager joins Erin Wahed’s Favorite Child roster alongside Doomsday, Gentlemen and Variable.
