Vox Media Taps Renee Appelle to Serve as SVP, Global Partnerships

Renee will report to Chief Revenue Officer Ryan Pauley, beginning March 1st
Today, Vox Media has announced its newest hire in the revenue organisation. Renee Appelle has joined Vox Media as SVP, global partnerships, reporting into Ryan Pauley, Vox Media’s chief revenue officer.

Renee’s official first day with Vox Media is Friday, March 1st.

As SVP, global partnerships, Renee is responsible for building client partnership opportunities leveraging the entire suite of Vox Media, including Vox Creative and The Explainer Studio, Vox Media Podcast Network, experiential, video, concert and programmatic. She will lead the company’s advertising strategy and solutions for marketing partners. Under her remit, Renee will build a new sales strategy team focused on the go-to-market approach for Vox Media’s key client categories, including consumer electronics, automotive, food and beverage and financial services.

Renee joins Vox Media from Hearst Digital Media where she was the Executive Director of Agency Development. She has over 15 years of experience in premium content and utility/audience based selling, driving results across diverse consumer touch points including digital, print, experiential and TV. Having worked in both marketing and sales, she has extensive expertise in brand building, fostering client collaboration and delivering on ROI driven partnerships.

Prior to Hearst’s acquisition of Rodale, Renee oversaw the corporate sales & marketing teams for Men’s/ Women’s Health, Runner’s World, Bicycling, Prevention and Organic Life. While at Rodale she lead the team to double digit revenue growth. Renee was a top contributor at PopSugar and served in marketing roles at NBC and CBS as well.
