Vodafone Smart Tech has launched Found: Objects with Meaning, a new podcast series interviewing internationally celebrated creatives and design leaders to explore the creative and emotional force of objects with personal meaning and the connection they hold.
With guests including musician Nile Rodgers, world renowned industrial designer Yves Béhar and ex-Olympian cyclist David Millar, the series - created in partnership with Wallpaper* discusses the things that define our guests and the objects that have inspired them throughout their careers. Whether transformative technologies, physical tools or inspirational artworks, Found: Objects with Meaning explores topics ranging from Nile Rodgers’ view on the impact of technology on creative expression and the role objects play in artist Polly Morgan’s process and approach, to the importance of memories and the emotional value of letting things go.
The series serves to highlight the value of everyday objects in professional and personal lives, and the role smart technology can play in keeping those precious belongings safe.
The collaboration and podcast with Wallpaper* forms part of Vodafone’s broader purpose of connecting for a better future as the company further develops its offering of smart devices to help connect and protect people and the things they love.
Pamela Brown, chief marketing officer, Vodafone Smart Tech, says: “We know people care deeply about staying connected to the people and things that matter to them most in their lives. We also believe that smart tech has an important role to play in meeting these needs in a meaningful way. With Found: Objects with Meaning, we have collaborated with Wallpaper* and renowned creatives to really bring to life the connection between people and their belongings, and the emotional value in protecting what we care about.”
Jonathan Bell, transport and technology editor, Wallpaper*, says: “It was a real pleasure to talk to such an esteemed group of creatives. Unsurprisingly, everyone has valuable memories and strong opinions about their favourite things, but what was most interesting was the diversity and scope of the discussion. The stuff that surrounds us is made up of many things.”
Found: Objects with Meaning is available now on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and an exclusive hub hosted by Wallpaper*.
