VMLY&R Appoints New CEO and Executive Leadership Team in Spain

VMLY&R, the global brand and customer experience agency, has announced its Spain Executive Leadership team with Javier Aguilar appointed chief executive officer. Aguilar and the newly assembled team will be responsible for growing the agency’s capabilities, client partner relationships and bringing together the 300+ people in the VMLY&R network in Spain.

Aguilar brings more than 25 years of experience in the Digital and Customer Experience world. He founded KingEclient* in 2000, a digital transformation and customer experience consultancy that WPP acquired in 2018 and joined the VMLY&R network in 2020.

With two locations, 300+ people, and top local and global clients such as Danone, Telefónica, Bayer, and Santander, Spain is one of VMLY&R’s fastest-growing markets. In 2021, VMLY&R Spain won and started 15 new client relationships and launched popular campaigns such as Activia’s Belly On Our Side, inspiring people to take better care of themselves and Bayer’s new digital B2B platforms Club Bayer.

The new leadership team is another sign of the network's local ambition to deliver a fully integrated offering at the intersection of technology, creativity and culture to create connected brands. It includes Manir Fadel, who has led the creative vision and output for Spain as chief creative officer for the past two years along with the promotions of Nieves Duran as chief strategy officer and Fina Sola as chief client officer.
