Juliasz replaces Marketdata founder Rubens Stephan, who is retiring after leading the company for more than 20 years

VMLY&R today announced the appointment of Fábia Juliasz as regional chief data and knowledge officer for Latin America and CEO of Marketdata, the leading global data services company ​headquartered in Brazil and part of VMLY&R COMMERCE. In this new role, Juliasz will be tasked with expanding Marketdata’s specialized technology and data capabilities to clients across the LATAM region and VMLY&R’s global network. 

With more than 380 employees, Marketdata has operated for 21 years as a leading data and technology partner to brands, developing and implementing CRM and engagement strategies, customer segmentation, and data-informed communications strategies to maximize the return on marketing investment. Its services include data management, marketing technology, analytics & decision science, customer relationship experience, CRM consulting, and more.

With a storied career in the communications industry, a background in technology and innovation, and a deep analytics knowledge, Juliasz’s expertise extends across business management, market research, data, and audience. From 2017 to 2021, she was executive director of research & knowledge at Grupo Globo, the largest broadcaster and media group in Brazil and Latin America, where she played a key role in transforming it into a mediatech company, with growth based on research and data. 

From 1999 to 2017, she held multiple positions with Grupo IBOPE, including executive director of audiences for Kantar Media LATAM, leading operations across 15 countries and spearheading TV digitalization in the region; CEO of the IBOPE Nielsen Online joint venture, the company that established audience and advertising online measurement and metrics in Brazil, Mexico, and Argentina; and executive director of development and founder of the research unit IBOPE Inteligência. 

At the beginning of her career, Juliasz worked at Burroughs Electronics and Banco Itaú for 10 years, and she led her own business in the fashion industry. She is also personally engaged in culture transformation projects related to the empowerment of women, inclusion, distribution of income and preservation of wildlife.
