Visual Music Create for Daybreak

Los Angeles-based Visual Music has completed an impressive stream of projects in recent months. Creative Director Tom Seufert just wrapped production of Bear McCreary's score for "Daybreak," an innovative transmedia web series for AT&T, which debuted at www.daybreak2012.com. Other recent notable music assignments include a short film "Sword," for Canon and spots including DeVry University's "Decided", Kohler's "Possessions" and a One.org's PSA "Bellies."

"We're passionate about imaginative, boundary-breaking creative, and 'Daybreak' positions us right on the cutting-edge of where we want to be," says Seufert. "Bear McCreary was the perfect composer for this epic project. It's a great example of Visual Music delivering beyond expectations."

"We were fortunate to work with a dream team of Hollywood talent to help bring to life the vision of 'Daybreak,' and the music was no exception," adds Julian Katz, Executive Producer of Content & Development at BBDO New York, AT&T's creative agency partner. "We are huge fans of Bear and his work and we could not have been more thrilled with his contributions. He really embraced the nature of our project and even hid some audio 'Easter eggs' in the score for hardcore fans to interact with through the mobile app."

Bear McCreary's credits include the hit TV series "The Walking Dead" and "Battlestar Gallactica." Visual Music also represents Transcenders ("Gossip Girl" and founding members of the Black Eyed Peas), Academy Award®-nominated sound designer Herwig Mauer ("Apocalypto") and a cache of award-winning composers and songwriters. In addition they've just expanded their resources via new partners Tunetree.com with access to hundreds of handpicked indie artists.

"We have our strongest, most committed creative team ever right now," states Seufert, "and we're always on the lookout for new talent like 22-year-old recent Berklee grad Greg Martin (Kohler and DeVry). The next logical step is to partner with a production company that needs an entire integrated package."

The studio has collaborated with a wide range of clients, including HBO, Samsung, EA, Disney, Sony Tristar, Chrysler, Home Depot, The Mayo Clinic, Ford, The Salvation Army and Toyota. It has won numerous awards, including AICP, Telly and Andy, as well as the Chicago and Houston International Film Festivals.

"What is most unique about Tom is that he is the best ambassador for what he does," concludes Algis Jaras, Creative Director at Leo Burnett, who has collaborated with Visual Music on Phillip Morris International, General Mills and Freschetta. "He is articulate, personable, dedicated, a great communicator and human. That's why I choose to work with him."
