VIA Agency Wins Republic Wireless Account

Today, The VIA Agency announced that it has been selected to handle integrated marketing for Republic Wireless, an innovative new mobile carrier spearheading a wireless freedom movement to return value and control of the smartphone experience to consumers, in a competitive review. This effort will center on launching the brand in several regional markets in the spring of 2013.

 

Republic launched in beta last year and since that time has been featured in a number of high profile news outlets, including USA Today, Wall Street Journal and New York Times. The company is poised to take a bite out of the prepaid cellphone market, which according to The NPD Group, grew in terms of unit sales by 91% year over year from 2011 to 2012.
