Lures talent from BBDO, Anomaly, The Martin Agency & DirectTV following new business streak

In light of a recent run of new business wins in addition to the organic growth of existing clients, The VIA Agency is announcing a string of new creative, production and strategy hires today. A recent Agency of Record win with Republic Wireless, as well as ongoing project duties for Shutterfly and 1800 Tequila directly led to VIA’s employment growth this year. The agency has added 11 new employees since the beginning of 2013.

A few of the exciting individuals joining The VIA Agency include:

- Associate creative director David Grindon, who comes to VIA from The Martin Agency as an art director, where his past client work included Discover Card, 1-800 CONTACTS, GEICO, and Walmart.
- Copywriter Dan Jordan, whose most recent experience includes stints as a copywriter at EnergyBBDO in Chicago and at David&Goliath in Los Angeles. His past clients include Wrigley, Kia Motors, Dunkin’ Donuts, Carl’s Jr. and Liberty Mutual.
- Associate producer Barry Wolford who hails from production at DIRECTV Creative Services in Los Angeles. He is also the writer, producer and director of “The Hook” – a web series that focuses on fishing and campfire cooking.
- Client strategist Whitman Bowers, who previously served as account lead for Dick’s Sporting Goods at Anomaly. Prior to Anomaly, Bowers also oversaw the launch of Bud Light Platinum; the most successful recent launch in the alcohol category.

“VIA’s exponential growth year over year is a great sign that we are doing something right,” said VIA President Leeann Leahy. “Our latest hires are all passionate, smart and creative thinkers who will be great assets to us as we continue attracting new clients and reinforce our valuable ongoing client relationships.”
