Globo TV in Brazil also won big, with three gold medals proving that great television knows no borders. Awards for excellence went to a spread of 29 different countries.
“Due to the dedicated work by talented people, the quality of television programming today is better than ever. I am pleased that the Venice TV Award recognises this,” said Sonia Rovai, head of scripted production at Sky Italia.
In the New Talent Category, young creatives from around the world have a platform at the Venice TV Award to show their work to leading international TV experts.
