VaynerMedia announced today that JuHee Kim has been appointed to the newly created role of managing director of its Los Angeles office. She was most recently EVP of Media. In her new role, Kim will oversee all operations, drive growth for the agency and report to CEO and co-founder Gary Vaynerchuk.
“JuHee has made a substantial impact on the VaynerMedia Los Angeles office, winning new business such as Lyft, Mint Mobile and Ultra Mobile and bringing in new talent to the agency,” said Gary. “I’ve enjoyed spending time with JuHee over the past couple of years, getting closer and aligned on the internal part of our business. Promoting her to the position of Managing Director is a recognition of the impact she’s made. It will allow us to continue to grow the business and create impactful and results-driven work for our clients.”
Kim joined VaynerMedia Los Angeles in early 2018. Prior to joining, she was the SVP of Media, On-Air and Affiliate Marketing at Fox Broadcasting Company, where she was responsible for the strategy, planning and activation of the company’s paid media investments and owned media channels. Kim has over 20 years of experience working in media and marketing, spanning from media agencies to brands, including Dentsu Aegis, OMD, Walt Disney Studios and NBC Universal.
“VaynerMedia is a consumer-first agency,” said JuHee. “Since joining nearly two years ago, I have been reimagining the relationship model between consumers and media, and agencies and brands. We have a great team in place in Los Angeles, and I look forward to leading them to ensure we continue building on our success, marrying the art and science of data and storytelling in new formats.”
JuHee assumes her new role effective immediately.
