Untold Studios is delighted to announce the talent making up its growing colour offering. Spearheaded by multi-award winning Colourists Julien Alary and Aubrey Woodiwiss, alongside rising star Didrik Bräthen, the team has been building momentum over the past few years with several high-profile projects already under their belt.
Untold Studios represents Julien and Didrik exclusively in the UK and Aubrey worldwide. Julien and Didrik are based in Oslo, with Aubrey based between the London studio and newly launched LA studio. Each Colourist is able to plug into Untold Studios’ ground-breaking cloud-based pipeline, meaning they can remote grade from anywhere in the world.
Julien has been working with Untold for the last year and a half on major commercials such as PlayStation ‘Play Has No Limits’, AFK Arena’s campaign with Elijah Wood and Expedia ‘Lemons’. With an outstanding eye for crafting beautiful imagery, Julien has worked on over 60 feature films including the critically acclaimed ‘The Worst Person in the World’ for Joachim Trier. His commercial work has seen him collaborate with directors such as Marcus Södurland, Martin De Thurah, Martin Werner, Noam Murro and Reynald Gresset, as well as cinematographers including Daniel Voldheim, Jakob Ihre, Benjamin Loeb, Kasper Tuxen, Sebastian Blenkov, Daniel Bouquet, Khalid Mohtaseb and Steve Annis.

Aubrey recently joined the creative studio and community and has hit the ground running with a cinematic grade for Amazon’s ‘Woman’s World’ with Lisa Gunning. Aubrey’s diverse and enviable portfolio includes music videos for the likes of Beyonce, Jay-Z, Rihanna, Calvin Harris, Frank Ocean and Taylor Swift, as well as high-profile commercials for brands such as Calvin Klein, Honda, Nike, Coors, and Gap. Aubrey has worked with globally revered directors and cinematographers such as Emil Nava, Chris Hewitt, Seb Edwards, Sam Brown, Melina Matsoukas, Scott Lyon, Andreas Nilsson, Marcus Söderlund, Jamie Rafn, the late Ringan Ledwidge and Jonas Akurland throughout his career.

Didrik has been working closely with Julien in Oslo and has already built a name for himself working on high-profile commercials for Norwegian brands as well as international brands such as Porsche, Spotify, NIO and Adidas. He’s also graded hit TV shows, promos and short films and has a unique ability to elevate key narrative moments, resulting in a truly cinematic viewing experience.
