UNKLE’s Aidan Lavelle joins Jimmy Turner roster

 

Aidan Lavelle, member of British band UNKLE, has joined fully integrated media agency Jimmy Turner.
 
Lavelle is a London based composer and producer that has had a prolific career in music, most notably writing and producing with British band UNKLE. He has enjoyed a career to date that has seen him work with artists, such as Gorillaz, Ian Brown, Queens Of The Stone Age, Massive Attack, Ian Astbury and The Big Pink. 
 
Lavelle joined brother James and Pablo Clements in a revamped UNKLE in 2005 with the new crew producing remixes for dance acts and bands that included Layo & Bushwacka, Black Mountain, Massive Attack, Skylark and Dubfire. He then embarked on three album projects, art instillations, various film scores and advertising campaigns.
 
After leaving UNKLE, he has steered towards film scoring and bespoke compositions for commercials working with high end brands such as BMW, Zurich Insurance, NSPCC, Jagermeister, Johnnie Walker, Amnesty International, Pele and Chivas Whiskey. His composition for the latest Childline campaign recently made the revered Advertising Producer Association top 50 adverts chosen of 2012.
 
He has has written original scores for features Lives of the Artists II: Follow Me Down, Cherry Tree Lane and The Caller for Sony Pictures.
 
Other noted work includes a variation on the X-Files theme for the 2008 film X-Files: I Want To Believe and the theme for the Euro 2008 Championships for the BBC, which won an award at the Royal Television Society Kraft & Design Awards 2008 for best titles.
