UNIT9's Angelo Cerisara Picks Up Best New Director of the Year at the Shots Awards

Last week, UNIT9 director Angelo Cerisara won the Gold Shots New Director of the Year 2021 award. Against some stiff competition and holding a stiffer drink, the very humble and once quiet young man has become one of the most sought after and exciting directors to emerge from UNIT9’s roster over the last few years.

Angelo Cerisara knocked on UNIT9 FILMS' door four years ago. Literally. Standing on the doorstep of their then very small Hackney Road office, he was new to London, new to advertising and new to his craft of directing. Angelo was looking for a home. A place where he could develop his skills and collaborate with friends. Within moments of meeting him, watching through his work and talking through his aspirations, UNIT9 knew he was something very special. And just like that, Angelo moved in!

From music videos to colourful and energetic films, Angelo’s style continues to make waves in the industry and we can’t wait to see what he does next.
