Partnering with neverland, the series give creative, cultural contributors and activists a platform to inspire young people

Made famous by their long-running portraiture series which was nicknamed by the local community, ‘The Peckham Portraits’, UNDEREXPOSED ARTS have launched the first series of portraits sponsored by Amazon titled ‘The Next Gen’ and have partnered with neverland for their latest campaign.

The new series features portraits shot by award winning visual artist Franklyn Rodgers and continues the UNDEREXPOSED ARTS mission to celebrate and promote positive representation of Black British and Dual Heritage African/Caribbean people. The portraits aim to inspire young people’s sense of self-identity, confidence and aspiration through this prominent platforming of diverse talent.

Clear Channel will display the portraits on some of their most prominent locations using their super-premium digital Storm sites, as parts of their Arts & Culture Showcase during the summer.

The Next Gen portraits launch today and can be viewed during July (list of those featured below). Today’s launch forms part of UNDEREXPOSED ARTS larger campaign and will be the start of a multi-platform series of artistic interventions and exhibitions, which will run until the end of 2022.

Fraser James at UNDEREXPOSED ARTS said, “I’m really excited to see the work we've achieved with Amazon’s support and our creative partnership with neverland being launched on Clear Channels premium Storm sites. We like our work to be seen in the public realm where we know from past experience, it has the ability to change lives.”

Franklyn Rodgers at UNDEREXPOSED ARTS said, “One of the greatest gifts you can give someone, is themselves, not only through the sharing of your truth but in the discovery and support of their own.”

Rich Kennedy, design director of neverland said, “It’s a real honour to be supporting the important work of Franklyn, Fraser, and the UNDEREXPOSED ARTS team.”
