The pair join Uncommon from 4Creative

Following the success of being named Campaign’s Independent Agency of the Year, today Uncommon announced the creative hires of award-winning team Jonas Roth and Rasmus Smith Bech.

The pair, who are originally from Copenhagen, join Uncommon from 4Creative following two years at Channel4’s internal creative shop. Jonas and Rasmus worked across notable campaigns for C4 including ‘Complaints Welcome’, where real complaints directed at the channel and its talents was turned against the very people spreading hate and ignorance. The pair is also behind the launch of the hotly anticipated return of the drama fuelled comic adaptation ‘The End of the F***ing World’ – which ended on a massive cliff hanger. To avoid any spoiler alerts going off this campaign showed avid fans most extravagant theories about what happened next, brought to life through animated films and a comic book.

Jonas and Rasmus made the move to 4Creative, following their departure from Adam&Eve DDB, to gain a deeper understanding of the entertainment and programming industry from a true inside perspective.

Jonas Roth said: “We love the Uncommon energy and spirit. The long list of ambitious clients and brilliant work is simply impressive. Uncommon not only share our vision for the industry’s role in the world, they act on it. We can’t wait to make that dent even bigger.”

Rasmus Smith Bech added: “What Nils, Natalie and Lucy have all built feels like the most interesting and exciting place to be right now. They’ve created modern, quick and adaptable studio with in-house production, podcasting, product and brand development - as well as their very own shop. It’s a place of possibilities, now let’s make them happen!”

Jonas and Rasmus have worked with the Uncommon founders previously at Grey London before their exit to set-up the studio. In this time, the creative duo worked with Leonard on the multi-award-winning campaigns like Volvo ‘LifePaint’ and Tate ‘500 years of stories’.

Nils Leonard concludes: “Jonas and Rasmus see things differently. Their view is something truly individual. Getting to work with their talent (again) is something I’m really looking forward to.”
