UK Production Company th1ng Opens In New York

 

th1ng Corp., the award-winning British production company, is expanding with a New York production office and studio in Soho, Manhattan. The move follows a number of recent U.S. agency generated projects for the animation, design, live action, and mixed media company.

 

At the same time, th2ng – the live action arm of the group - has expanded its line-up of directors by signing US feature film director Rob Cohen from MacGuffin Films. The move signals a strategy by th1ng Corp to share its roster of talent in London and New York. Cohen, signed for UK, Europe and Middle East representation, is well known for directing numerous feature films including blockbusters: The Mummy and The Fast and The Furious. He is also a prolific commercials director, having created spots for Burger King, Chase, Mercedes and Stereoscopic cinema commercials for Coke Zero.

 

th2ng has also added a ‘table top’ division aimed at delivering stunning results for food and drink assignments. The division comprises a trio of US based directors: Kevan Bean, Nick Fuglestad and Michael Somoroff, who will now also be represented by th1ng in the UK, Europe and Middle East.

th1ng Corp in New York will introduce all of the group companies to the market: th1ng, th2ng, Film Club and Flux. The office is headed up by Bill Hewes, who joins th1ng from Filmtecknarna. Directors in the Filmtecknarna will now be represented by th1ng in the USA, UK and the Middle East.
