Two ENVY Projects Nominated for 'Best British Video'

ENVY have contributed to two projects which are up for nomination at the 2015 BRIT Awards. The full-service Post-Production facility worked on two promo – One Direction’s ‘You and I’ and Rita Ora’s ‘I Will Never Let You Down’ – which are both nominated in the ‘Best British Video’ category.

Voting for the 2015 BRIT Award for Best British Video is in the hands of the public. Votes are cast through Twitter and the artists with the fewest votes will be eliminated each Friday (starting from 23rd January) up until the awards.

Colourist Danny Wood, who provided the grade on Pulse Film’s promo for Rita Ora, comments: “I Will Never Let You Down' has a very photographic style. Big vibrant shots punctuated by Rita's lips and the styling contrasts with the much more intimate black and white sections. The black and white section is almost a figural study, all about shadow and space. The tone of the video is high contrast throughout, literally in terms of the level of contrast but also contrast between colours and feels. I think this decision by the director is what makes 'I Will Never Let You Down' feel so dynamic.”

ENVY also provided a range of post-production services on One Direction’s ‘You and I’, directed by Fulwell 73’s Ben Winston, including Flame, Compositing, Grade, Roto, Sound FX and 3D Tracking. The winners will be announced on Wednesday 25th February at the BRIT Awards, which this year is being held at The O2 in London and will be broadcast live on ITV.
