Production services specialists TwentyfourSeven has today announced that Jordi Molla has joined its team working across Spain, Portugal and Poland.
Jordi has built an unparalleled reputation for client hosting in Spain for film and commercials production. Having originally studied electronics, he got a break on set with his cousin, director Isabel Coixet, and with early experience as a production assistant moving to AD, he worked his way to become the go-to chaperone for A-list directing, acting and sporting talents. Jordi personally supervises his client’s schedules on their local productions, sometimes travelling with them further afield.
His repertoire of celebrity clients features George Clooney, Kate Blanchett, Lionel Messi, Patrick Dempsey, Chris Hemsworth, Sean Penn and some of his close film director relationships include Adam Berg, Andreas Nilsson, Craig Gillespie, Daniel Wolfe, Isaiah Seret, Jan Wentz, Jonathan Glazer, Manu Cossu, Nicolai Fulgsig, Ringan Ledwidge, Scott Lyon, Stacey Wall and Tarsem.
Jordi Molla commented: “After twenty four years of freelancing, I’ve decided to take one more step up the ladder and to try to give more as part of a team. I couldn’t wish for better partners, I’ve known Ivo for some time and frequently worked with the family at Twentyfour Seven, so it feels like coming home. I’m excited to broaden my list of new directors; my aim is always to create the best working atmosphere on set and to give clients the ultimate experience of our country during their time with us."
Ivo Van Vollenhoven, MD, Twentyfour Seven, commented: “I have been waiting six years for this day to come. I remember very well that I was shooting a Nike commercial in Madrid with Jonathan Glazer when I made the first approach to Jordi, ever since we have been in talks, as they say good things come to those who wait. Jordi is a man of many skills, but above all, is an amazing human being with a great energy and there is no doubt that he will have a very positive impact on all of our team across our offices in Spain, Portugal and Poland."
Commercials Client Testimonials
Simon Cooper, managing partner, Academy Films: “Jordi Molla is THE best. If we could have him on every job, anywhere in the world we would. Love that man."
Adam Berg, director, SMUGGLER: “If you find yourself in Jordi Molla’s care, consider yourself lucky. He is the nicest person to have around, with the best insights and anecdotes to put a golden touch on any production or meal or journey. He will spoil you so that any trip or production without him feels less successful. Jordi is the uncrowned king of Spain but even so, he goes out of his way to make everyone around him feel like they are the royalty. He is a dear friend, a great colleague and a beautiful man. I wish I could bring him to Sweden."
Isaiah Seret, director, Biscuit Filmworks: "Jordi is a legend of travel and service production. The first person you want on your team when shooting in Spain. He makes you feel anything is possible, he has the keys to the City and has curated beautiful experiences for those he cares for. I am excited to see Jordi apply this talent into the next phase of his career."
Craig Gillespie, director, MJZ LA: “Jordi is an amazing person. He works tirelessly and with an abundance of enthusiasm. He is a person who is a connector in life. He brings people together, and I feel very fortunate that our paths have crossed."
Jon Glazer, director, Academy Films: “Jordi Molla is among the loveliest, funniest, warmest, most intuitive and resourceful men I’ve ever met. I am also lucky enough to call him my friend."
Boris Schepker, executive producer, Markenfilm: “A true hard working Catalan, internationally renowned, Hollywood-star approved, Jordi knows all the tricks of the trade in Barcelona and Spain like the back of his hand. Fun to be with and ohhh yes he is also the best restaurant connoisseur there is."|
Gustav Geldenhuys, freelance producer: "When Jordi walks into your world, you KNOW you're in the best hands and you'll be taken care of in the most unique way...he thinks of everything...he is forever thoughtful and remembers the smallest details from years before. I have the most enormous RESPECT for Jordi and his very unique talent: his instinctive understanding of human beings and his loyalty."
Suza Horvat, freelance producer: “Film making is a family business. We are not necessarily all related by blood but are joined by experience and expertise. Jordi and I literally started in the business together and became instant family from that very first job. I have watched him grow over the years into a role he made his own, that takes in all his natural skill, personality and dedication. I know first-hand what an asset he is and has been a key member of the team on every shoot we have done together and now I watch in delighted anticipation for this next step of his journey”.
Zeno Campbell-Salmon, producer, Outsider: "I’ve known Jordi for over 10 years, he’s chaperoned me on every job I've shot in Spain. As well as being a great driver with a wealth of knowledge in regard to restaurants and hospitality he's also a huge asset on set; working with both production and the AD departments. Although I'm sad to hear he's starting a full time appointment and may not always be available to chaperone I'm also very excited to see what the future holds for Jordi as my feeling for him is that the sky is the limit."
Anna Hashmi, co-founder and executive producer, The Corner Shop: “Lucky 24/7! Jordi is an amazing asset to any production."
