In a fresh move extending their leading business out of Europe, Twentyfour Seven is excited to announce the opening of a new production service base in Chile for commercials and content.
Says managing partner, Ivo Van Vollenhoven: “We felt the time was right to launch in South America, to support the diversity of our clients’ productions. We had a previous presence in Argentina, Colombia and Cuba from 2004 to 2007 so it’s not a totally new venture for us. The opportunities and shooting locations in LATAM are stunning and we have secured the most experienced and knowledgeable talent in the region to head up our new base in Santiago.”
The Santiago office will be led by and Cristobal Sotomayor (MD) an Executive Producer with significant EP experience (MJZ, Tempomedia, Anonymous, Iconoclast, Reset, Biscuit Filmworks and Smuggler), most recently at Good Gate Productions and past President of the local APSP, and Javiera Torres (Managing Partner) whose experience at Recipe Content includes working with many of the leading Canadian production houses (Steam, Soft Citizen , OPC, Radke, Untitled, Skin & Bones and Circle) and who is also a past President of the APSP.
Between them, they have with over 40 years combined experience servicing specialist international productions in the region, and they are supported by the international Twentyfour Seven team.
Cristobal Sotomayor, managing director, Twentyfour Seven LATAM, says: “I am fiercely proud of our production service industry here in Chile. We have made leaps and bounds in all aspects, from casting to technical prowess, that enable us to put together exactly the right team for each job. It is totally the right time to launch Twentyfour Seven into the region, our passion and practical understanding of what is expected of us from our international clients now also benefits from the significant support and experience of the successful European group."
Javiera Torres, managing partner, Twentyfour Seven LATAM, comments: “I’m really excited about our launch. Cristobal and I share a vision on what this industry wants and needs to be. Our aim has always been to create long-term relationships with our clients, becoming a trusted partner on any kind of project, which in part explains how we’ve kept clients returning for over 12 years.
There’s so much room and momentum… once you get a feeling of what can be done here - the benefits and production value that we can offer, the talented humans, locations and facilities, the serious and experienced approach to production, the care for details and the sustainable way we are doing things with the backbone of Twentyfour Seven’s structure and standards - it’s really a no brainer. Never mind how charming and fun us Latin Americans are!”
