BVE 2013 will introduce a new theatre and exhibition area, dedicated to the growing world of connected TV. In partnership with EVS and Vualto, and supported by Microsoft, Connected@ brings together companies involved in VOD, multi-device delivery and monetisation to connect with those looking to make the move into connected TV.
“BVE continues to evolve and adapt with the industry in order to offer highly relevant content that helps our visitors stay abreast of the latest developments,” says Anita Pal, Event Director, i2i Events Group. “Last year 46% of visitors indicated that their primary interest was in the areas of streaming, encoding, IPTV, VOD or TV playout. Connected@ Theatre has been created in direct response to this demand for digital delivery and monetisation solution exhibitors and seminars.”
The Connected@ Theatre will address the issues that broadcasters and content owners need to understand about delivering and monetising content across today’s multiple platforms and devices. There will be sessions that explain the technical evolution behind delivering content any time, any place, anywhere, as well as looking at the economical and business strategic issues behind this development.
Speakers include:
- Tim Jones, Windows Azure, on building VOD workflows in the cloud to manage and distribute media to any screen, anywhere;
- The App Development panel, comprising Tom Cape (CEO, Capablue), Michael Lantz (CEO, Accedo) and Bill Scott (Chief Operating and Commercial Officer, Easel TV), examine growth on different platforms and the strategic implications for content owners;
- Vualto’s co-founders, CEO Camilla Young and CTO James Burt, look at new trends in rights-protected video delivery.
Exhibitors in the Connected@ area include Groovy Gecko Streaming Solutions, Perpetual Solutions, Streaming Tank, Vualto and EVS, demonstrating a range of products and services ranging from cable & fibre and encoding technologies to IPTV, broadband, satellite and streaming.
