Tribal Worldwide China, the digital arm of DDB China Group, has announced three key hires to bolster its digital expertise. The agency seeks to streamline digital, social and e-commerce elements into a holistic digital experience for customers, and increase focus on pro-active co-creation with clients to drive investment in prototypes.
The round of appointments follows that of Allen Wang as Managing Director, and Danny Chan as Chief Creative Officer of the burgeoning digital group.
Joining Tribal Worldwide Shanghai in a newly created role as Client Services Director, Daphne Chen has 15 years experience as a digital marketing strategist and team leader, most recently as Director of Business Development at Cheil Worldwide.
“Daphne is a technologist at heart. Her sweet spot is the interaction between business and engineering. She is an enigmatic leader on the front lines, and has a real passion for technology,” said Wang.
Supporting Chen in her new role as Senior Account Director, Celine Liu comes on board from Isobar China. Over nine years working in the FMCG industry, most recently on Coca-Cola, Liu has built a reputation as a passionate and focused customer relations professional, winning and retaining several accounts throughout her career. In 2015, Liu won the New Star contest at the Ad Stars Festival in Busan, recognising the next generation of outstanding young advertising professionals.
“Celine’s versatility and outstanding client management and new business development efforts will be a great addition to our continued success,” added Allen.
Rounding up the trio of new appointments, award-winning digital specialist Fibi Cheng joins Tribal Worldwide China as Creative Director. Over a decade in the creative industry, Cheng has gained invaluable experience across a diverse range of industries, including media, fashion and publishing. She has held creative leadership positions, and built multi-disciplinary teams in both Taiwan and China.
Speaking of Cheng’s appointment, Chan said, “Fibi represents the new hybrid creative leader.
