Pol Hoenderboom and Bart Mol, multi-award winning creative partnership at international digital agency Tribal DDB Amsterdam, have been promoted to the role of creative directors with immediate effect.
The creative duo joins forces with Executive Creative Director, Chris Baylis and accomplished DDB Amsterdam Creative Directors Joris Kuijpers and Dylan de Backer creating a team with an interactive digital heart, allowing for an integrated approach to all future client briefs.
Hoenderboom (32) and Mol (27) have made a significant mark in the industry media and beyond with their recent ‘Obsessed with Sound’ campaign platform for Philips. Together, Hear Every Detail (2011) and The Sound of Creation (2012) have scooped up an envious cabinet of awards. These include a SXSW Interactive award, Cannes Lions Gold, ADCN Lamp, LIA Gold, Spin Awards Gold, Eurobest Gold, Lovie Awards Gold, D&AD Yellow Pencil, Young Guns, and twice the FWA’s Site of the Day.
Pol and Bart have been working as a creative duo at the agency since 2010. They have worked on global brands including KLM, Vattenfall, Heineken, Volkswagen and McDonald’s, plus Dutch brands such as NS, Ziggo and Centraal Beheer Achmea. In the last two years the duo has won awards across major festivals, including the Webby Awards, New York Festivals, Eurobest, Lovie Awards and Spin Awards.
Chris Baylis, Executive Creative Director, Tribal DDB Amsterdam, said: “Pol and Bart have created some of the most memorable work to come out of the agency in the last few years. It seems only right that they get the opportunity to transfer their expertise and enthusiasm to the rest of the organization and to a wider portfolio of clients. We believe in continuously evolving. Pol and Bart are the creative directors of the future, and that’s what DDB and Tribal Amsterdam need to take us forward.”
Pol Hoenderboom, Creative Director, Tribal DDB Amsterdam said: “It’s great to be working in a place that offers opportunities to creatives and fuels personal growth. We are intrigued to be a part of the newly mixed creative floors between DDB and Tribal Amsterdam, further blurring the boundaries between above- and below-the-line work. We’re ready to get our teeth into a broad scope of clients and continue pushing excellent ideas forward – who knows where.”
Tribal DDB Amsterdam is responsible for iconic work including Philips Carousel and Wake up the Town, and together with DDB Amsterdam for KLM's Tile & Inspire social media campaign. At Eurobest 2011, Tribal DDB Amsterdam was awarded Interactive Agency of the Year.
