Tracey joins alongside existing EPs Natalie Arnett and Tom Berendsen

Riff Raff Films offers up a slight contradiction, in the sense that it’s not really the riff raff that make up Riff Raff. With a small but effective team and a determination to continue the momentum (read: a humble way of saying success) of recent years, 2021 saw an invitation extended to Tracey Cooper to join the production company as executive producer, alongside existing EPs Natalie Arnett and Tom Berendsen.

After ten years at top animation studio Nexus, Tracey brings with her a wealth of knowledge in producing animation; a timely arrival to Riff Raff’s UK representation of US-based Psyop late last year. Prior to that, she began her career at Blink where, as head of production, she worked with directors Dougal Wilson and Doug Foster, before moving to Stink to partner with writer-director Gaëlle Denis.

Tracey Cooper is the executive producer behind some of the renowned directing duo Smith and Foulkes most awarded work; including Honda 'Hands' for W&K, Channel 4's 'Stand Up To Cancer', Adam&Eve's ‘Temptations', BBC's 'Sprout Boy' Christmas campaign, the interactive storybook app 'Radio Jones', and their work for BBC Winter Olympics which picked up a Bafta.

Tracey also volunteers with Speakers for Schools; a charity which invites people experiencing success in their chosen professions to visit schools in areas with little access to such insider insight. Riff Raff are delighted to have her as the newest addition to the family.

Tracey Cooper said: “It was always going to take somewhere special to entice me from my animation family, in fact Riff Raff was probably the only contender. If you are going to dive back into the thrusting world of live action then this feel like the right place to land, such genuinely, exciting talent and interesting opportunities.”

Matthew Fone, Riff Raff’s owner said: “I worked with Tracey ‘back in the day’ not that either of us are that old. Cough. I Couldn’t be happier to have someone of her calibre, experience and personality joining Riff Raff as an EP to complement Natalie and Tom (our other EPs) while helping to bring an in-depth knowledge to the growing roster of live action and animation directors.”
