Creative production partner Tool of North America has announced the hire of former R/GA, associate director, growth and development, Harris Baum, as its new director of growth (a new role).
Tool is known for memorable work such as Root Insurances’ 'Progress Owes No Apology' film commercial feat. Bubba Wallace, Super Bowl’s State Farm ad feat. Drake, HBO’s The Flight Attendant virtual interactive experience, and more. Most recently, they received 8 One Show and 7 Webby nominations for this work.
Tool adds Harris to its company to focus on all new business and current client growth in collaboration with Tool’s sales team. This will allow for more strategic and proactive growth with clients.
“Tool of North America has been innovating around content, experiences and digital for 25 years, always at the Zenith of what’s possible,” said Baum. “The opportunity to be a part of that, and help carve the path to the next great creative project is a rare thing. It’s also a chance for myself and my team to combine rapid ideation with deep production experience to help solve the issues that brands are having. I couldn’t be happier to be working with this incredible team.”
“We have exciting plans for our clients this year and having a senior leadership team that includes Harris working with Nancy Hacohen, managing director of content, Adam Baskin, managing director of experience, and the leadership of founder Erich Joiner and myself, positions us to propel Tool forward,” said Dustin Callif, president at Tool. “Our goal is to evolve the creative production model and offer forward-thinking solutions to our clients by combining rapid ideation with production and software expertise."
