Tom Gibson Joins Curious Productions as Head of Creative Production

Curious Productions has hired Tom Gibson to head up Creative Production, working closely with Creative Director Clive Biley, Head of Creative Retouching, Rob Lanario, Photography Director, Dean Agambar, and Managing Director Mark Grosvenor.

Gibson joins from Smoke & Mirrors, and throughout his 18-year career, he has worked closely with the great and the good of the Advertising Industry such as 4Creative, Y&R, Fallon, Saatchi & Saatchi, M&C Saatchi and WCRS.

His close relationships with award-winning photographers have made him integral to award-winning campaigns with Peter Lindbergh, Nadav Kander, Andy Glass, Rick Guest, Andy LoPo, Julia Fullerton-Batten, Nick Georghiou and Frieke Janssens.

Of Tom’s appointment, Mark Grosvenor said: “We are extremely honoured and excited to have Tom join our growing team. His ability to interpret a creative production brief and utilise exactly the right resource is second to none.”

Of his role at Curious Productions, Gibson added: “I’m bit of an inner nerd that embraces technology the intricacies of different processes. I’ve been looking into VFX and the CG software we use, how that can bring a traditional ‘print’ campaign into the digital realm. It’s important to stress now that the grey area between still and moving image is small and getting ever smaller. What were 2 very different disciplines are now becoming one. We have to embrace that and use the technology and most importantly the creative nous we have to create fantastic work for our clients.
