The initiative is a new way to inspire, diversify and recruit the media talent of the future
As companies seek to bring new talent into their workforce, it is crucial that they stay ahead of the curve in order to attract the next generation of workers.

This August, TIPi Group’s Academy programme will once again open its doors to welcome students for the third time. This unique recruitment and training initiative takes ambitious fresh talent, ready to start their first role in the industry; through a two-week course, exposing them to the hard and soft skills of digital marketing.

The latest programme will include sessions held by partner Electric Glue, a media broker, which will introduce students to the wider, creative media landscape. The move comes from a need to build marketeers who are all-rounders, inspired and committed to shaping the future of the industry.

The course offers an alternative model to standard, antiquated recruitment processes - historically run via CV’s and interviews. Through Q&A sessions, written tasks, networking opportunities, mock interviews, and pitch simulations, over the two weeks candidates are provided the chance to show off a 360-degree view of their personality, interests and skills.
It also gives attendees a truthful insight into each junior role, and the career progression available, to help them understand which would most suit them daily and long term, miles away from the buzzword-filled format of a job spec. The Academy offers a modern and more appealing method of recruitment and learning, that is more beneficial for both the individual and the business.

Founder of the TIPi Academy, Jessica Hollingbery, explains: "The aim of the Academy is twofold. It allows us to source truly engaged and driven young talent based on attitude, interest and passion. But it also supports the individual, by making sure they know exactly what role they are taking on, and whether it suits their personality and skills, to enable them to build long term careers."

Ollie Bishop, CEO and founder of TIPi Group, adds: "Through offering the course free of charge, we also hope to access and support more diverse talent, that previously might not have had an opportunity to see what a role in digital marketing entails, nor how they might launch a career in the sector."

The next Academy programme will be running from 12th August to 23rd August at TIPi Group’s new offices on Berners Street.
