Appointment marks Tile’s first agency of record relationship

Tile Names Deutsch Creative Agency of Record

Deutsch has announced that it has been named creative agency of record for Tile, the Bluetooth-enabled tiny companion that helps you find the things that matter using the power of smart location. The agency was awarded the business after completing a three-month brand strategy project for Tile without further review. This marks Tile’s first agency of record relationship.

“We are thrilled to be working with Deutsch,” said Simon Fleming-Wood, Chief Marketing Officer at Tile. “While we’re locating more than two million items every day, we’re also building a global community of people helping each other find the things that matter to them. Bringing deep experience, leadership and creativity, the team at Deutsch are the perfect partners to help bring our brand vision to life.”

As AOR, Deutsch’s Los Angeles office will be responsible for Tile’s marketing in a broad capacity including creative, digital, media planning and buying, strategy and analytics. The agency’s first work for Tile is slated to launch in a national rollout leading up to the 2017 holiday season.

Prior to this, Tile’s marketing efforts have included performance media and direct response marketing, driven by agency partner DuMont Project. While Tile will continue its relationship with TDP, the brand is looking to expand its reach across all media and plans to double its marketing investment in the 2018 fiscal year. Client billings are undisclosed at this time.

“Simon is a visionary marketer who’s helped build brands like Flip Video and Pandora,” said Kim Getty, President of Deutsch, Los Angeles. “He recognises the importance of establishing a strong brand positioning and has a proven track record of doing so throughout his marketing career. He’s also a good human being. We jumped at the opportunity to help our colleagues at Tile craft a vision for their brand.”
