Tickets on Sale for AWARD Pencil Bar

On the evening of August 18, the Australasian Writers and Art Directors Association (AWARD) will host an industry cocktail party to announce the winners of some of its most prestigious creative awards for the year.

The inaugural AWARD Pencil Bar, a bespoke cocktail event, will take place as part of This Way Up, AWARD's signature creative festival being held in Sydney from 16-18 August.

Cocktails and canapes will be on tap and live entertainment at the ready as AWARD announces winners of the 43rd AWARD Awards Special categories plus AWARD School's national top student for 2022 - chosen from an outstanding pool of up-and-coming creative talent.

Special Awards presented on the night include The Grand Award, Strategic Leap, Individual Agency of the Year, Individual Creative or Team of the Year, Individual Director of the Year, Emerging Director of the Year, Emerging Creative or Team of the Year and Emerging Indigenous Creative Talent (view the finalists here).

"This is the celebration we’ve been gagging to put on for a few years,” said AWARD chair Cam Blackley. “The AWARD Pencil Bar at This Way Up is the first time we’ll celebrate and award the next generation of creative talent alongside the winners of some of the most prestigious creative AWARD accolades of the year.

“It’s also a chance to get the creativity community together, rub shoulders with the festival’s line-up of industry innovators and make the most of a fantastic space at The Ovolo at Woolloomooloo.
