Thorpe Park, part of the Merlin Entertainments Group, has appointed global social media agency We Are Social as its social media agency of record.
The agency will initially undertake an audit of Thorpe Park’s social media channels and the wider social media landscape within the recreation and entertainment sector. It will then use the findings from this to provide recommendations for a robust ongoing social media strategy. The agency will develop a content strategy, image and tone of voice guidelines and a crisis management plan for the theme park, with a view to developing creative campaigns in the longer term.
We Are Social’s content will also form part of a paid social media strategy, focused on promoting the right content at the right time to a relevant target audience. The content will include a strong focus on imagery and will include promoted posts on Facebook as well as tweets.
