This Queer Lisboa Trailer is Like the Godfather, Only More Fabulous

Referencing one of the most iconic scenes from one of the most iconic films of the 20th Century shouldn't be taken lightly. But Queer Lisboa, the first Portuguese Film Festival dedicated exclusively to screening gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and transsexual themed films, have been spoofing the most celebrated film moments in their uniquely queer mode for years, from Braveheart to Topgun.

Director Fred Oliveira's new trailer for the festival follows in this proud tradition, referencing the infamous horse's head scene from The Godfather. 

Subbing blood in for glitter, the trailer is a wonderful homage to the original, referencing film culture and LGBT tropes with equal respect.
