Director Armand de Saint-Salvy's short film The Craft
has been accepted to screen at the Academy Accredited Flickerfest's
28th International Short Film festival this Saturday night - 12th
January 2019. It will be film's world premiere competing in the
'Australian Competition' category.
Featuring a
dramatic and emotive performance from rising young actress Zoe Terakes
playing opposite the experienced Helen Thomson, the short film tells the
story of a Hollywood acting guru who challenges a young actress to
confront her demons in order to maximise her potential.
The Craft
is 11 minutes of suspense from writer director Armand de Saint-Salvy,
who is more well known for his commercial comedy work - in 2018 he won a
AWARD Gold Pencil for his work "The Big Deal" and more recently
entertained everyone with his popular "Meet Grant" award film for the
2018 MADC All Stars.

The film was produced by Benjamin O'Donnell and funded by Saint-Salvy and production collective //Thirteen & Co.
Says
Saint-Salvy: "Amazing narrative drives me - whether it's a short film
or great commercial work. I really can't wait to see the audience
reaction to the film up on a big screen."

Says
Charity Downing, EP, //Thirteen & Co: "Making short films is always a
challenge. We're proud of the efforts of our incredible cast and crew
and their continued passion and commitment to this project."
Since
launching in 1991, Flickerfest has grown to become Australia's only
Academy accredited international short film festival and one of the most
influential short film events in the world.
Flickerfest runs from 11- 20 January 2019 at Bondi Beach, Sydney.
