The new "Your Thing" campaign was developed by The General Store

Sedona’s newest signing, Thibault Debavey, has directed the new brand campaign by The General Store for Allianz Insurance, titled 'Your Thing'. The 60-second brand film was part of a larger integrated campaign, which included 30- and 15-second product spots, online and OOH. Featuring a quintessential Australian neighbourhood, the film transitions seamlessly from one home to the next, as Allianz’s distinct blue line leads the viewers through the story to the familiar “Ahh” reprise.

Says Nick Adams, chief marketing manager of Allianz Insurance: “It was a pleasure working with Debaveye and the team at Sedona. Confident in his direction and articulate with his overall vision of both the narrative and brand messaging, the level of professionalism on set far exceeded my expectations.”

A versatile filmmaker and visual storyteller, Debaveye’s work is a rare fusion between great narrative and crafted technology, which he uses as a tool for storytelling and creative problem solving. He enjoys capturing slice of life moments in a unique, observational way, blending his passion of European inspired cinema with the visual twists that his creative roots as a digital artist provides.

Debaveye graduated from France’s Superinfocom, where he was quickly snapped up by VFX pioneers, BUF. He honed his craft there, becoming a globally renowned flame artist. With a VFX resume populated with A-list directors such as Rupert Sanders, Wong Kar Wai, and Olivier Gondry, Debaveye learned from the very best in the industry and soon began his directing career, during a tenure at Psyop that continued for nearly a decade.

Says Kim Wildenburg, managing director of Sedona Productions: “Having worked with Thibault during his time at BUF and then again at Psyop, we’ve had a great working relationship over the years, and share a mutual passion for beautiful filmmaking, coupled with strong design and VFX. Once a gun on the flame, I’ve enjoyed seeing his directing style evolve into more thoughtful narrative and emotive cinematic storytelling.”
