Critically Endangered Socks launches crowdfunding campaign with WWF to protect the baby Javan rhino, Borneo orangutan, tiger and giant panda

These Socks for Baby Humans Could Save Endangered Baby Animals
Critically Endangered Socks is collaborating with the WWF on its next project – an Indiegogo campaign all in the name of helping critically endangered baby animals.

The social business aims to protect the world’s most critically endangered animals by selling socks. It’s been helping adult critically endangered species for over a year now, and the Indiegogo campaign will help CES protect their adorable offspring.

They’ll be producing baby socks in four designs to help four different critically endangered species. The socks double as hand puppets. So when the little one inevitably pulls off their sock, the sock turns into a walking, talking puppet show.

The baby animals the campaign will be helping are the Javan Rhino, the Giant Panda, the Borneo Orangutan and the Tiger. The socks are made from G.O.T.S certified organic cotton.

Ten percent of sales will go to the WWF, with each design helping the baby animal they represent, allowing CES customers to decide which baby animal they want to protect. For example, the profits from the baby orangutan socks will buy a tree seedling to help restore the heavily logged Borneo forest, and the profits from the baby panda socks will buy a seedling to be planted in degraded panda habitat.

The babies of critically endangered animals are the future of the species, so protecting them is vital. Now Critically Endangered Socks will be providing you with an adorable way to do just that. What better way to help baby animals than by kitting out the baby humans in your life with some adorable and funky socks?

The idea originated in the offices of Publicis London during one lunch break, where creatives and strategists teamed up to take on a CES brief as part of Food for Thought, a social initiative that invites agency folk to donate their skills to help a charity, in exchange for a nice lunch.
