Theresa Loo Rejoins O&M China

Ogilvy & Mather China today announced the appointment of Theresa Loo as the Group’s
National Training Director, based in Beijing.

In this role, Theresa is responsible for developing all professional knowledge and skills training programs for O&M China staff. She will also drive Ogilvy Advanced Learning, a unit launched in China in 2011 to provide strategic brand consultancy and coaching services to Chinese corporations. Theresa returns to O&M with close to 20 years of experience in account service, strategic planning and consulting in the China market. She has served a number of international clients in her last two roles as Business Director at market research company Research International and Director of Strategic Planning,

Analytics and Insight at media agency MEC. Theresa previously held the position of Group Account
Director for Unilever at O&M Advertising Shanghai before launching her own consultancy practice for clients including Intel and Nokia. On top of her agency and research experience, she is also active in academic circles. Theresa holds a Ph.D. in Marketing from Manchester Business School in the U.K. and is a Visiting Scholar to a number of universities in Shanghai.

Shenan Chuang, CEO of Ogilvy & Mather Greater China, said, “At Ogilvy we believe training is sacred, particularly in a fast-changing business environment such as ours where the need for advanced professional skills is unparalleled. Theresa is particularly suited to this role because of her unique and rich background in account servicing, academia and theory and I couldn’t be more excited to welcome her back to the Ogilvy family. She has inspiring views on training that will allow staff to reach their full potential, pre-empt the market and meet clients’ ever-evolving needs.”

Theresa succeeds Sandy Ng, who took on the role of Managing Director of Raynet Ogilvy, China in January of this year. Theresa’s appointment is effective immediately.
