Smuggler's Tom Speers directs hilarious spot showing how location technology can help make life simpler

what3words is launching its latest campaign to show how its location technology can help make life simpler by getting things to exactly the right place.

Launching with a comedic TV spot, directed by Tom Speers and produced by Smuggler, we see the familiar scenario of parcels being delivered to the wrong address due to inaccuracies in addressing.

The launch film premieres tomorrow (8th April) at 8:45 on ITV, with the wider campaign running across radio, digital and through direct mail.

what3words has divided the world into a grid of 3-metre squares and labelled each one with a unique combination of three words: a what3words address. This allows consumers to easily share any location - be that a parking space, a shed, or a specific door to an apartment block - without the need for extensive and elaborate descriptions or having to simply hope for the best.

Ivan Pols, chief creative officer at W3W added: “Inaccuracies in addressing are costly to business, and frustrating for consumers. They result in taxis arriving on neighbouring streets, food deliveries arriving cold, and customers wasting hours on the phone to couriers. Our technology offers a simple solution to this, and our new campaign with neverland perfectly demonstrates why it’s always worth using a what3words address”

Jon Forsyth, neverland co-founder says “///pinks.pines.minute”

The campaign is the first work from neverland, who were appointed as what3words’ lead creative agency in January this year.

Media for the campaign has been managed by ITV.
