Therapy Promotes Laura Redman to CEO

Therapy, the integrated creative agency, has named Laura Redman as its CEO while Richard Miles has been promoted to creative director.

Redman has been Therapy’s managing director for the past decade, after joining the shop in 2006 as account director while it was still known as Media Therapy. Within a year she had been promoted to client services director before taking the MD role at the start of 2008.

As CEO she will drive their integrated offer forward, fusing together specialist hybrid teams that can answer any business issue with sharp thinking, creative flair and operational excellence.

Redman replaces founder Neale Hunt in the CEO role. Hunt will remain closely involved in the agency as executive creative director.

Miles, who was previously associate creative director, joined Therapy as art director in 2011 before moving to his most recent role in 2017. He will now lead the agency’s ferocious commitment to outstanding creative excellence, reporting to Redman. He replaces consultant creative director, Howard Fretten.

Recent clients include the likes of Beauty Bay, Eset, HCB and Nelsons Natural Healthcare. Their campaigns for Arm & Hammer toothpaste and recycling client NLWA were both nominated for Creative Excellence at the Marketing New Thinking Awards and recently won the MMA DoDifferent Award for best Regional Campaign. They’re also up for Best Agency to Work for 2018.

These promotions coincide with a move by the agency towards a new strapline: 'The home of Truth and Imagination' a reflection of their re-imagined full service offering that sees business consultancy, service design, innovative advertising, FastContent production and media planning and buying seamlessly joined together.
