the7stars, the UK’s largest independent media agency has achieved the coveted fifth place in The Sunday Times 100 Best Small Companies to Work For in the UK list for 2013. It was the only media agency to make it onto the list in the awards announced on Wednesday night and the first time the agency has entered the awards.

the7stars was also awarded the maximum, three-star ‘very good’ accreditation by Best Companies Ltd, the organization behind the Top 100. This year, 896 organisations applied to achieve 'Star Status'. Despite the global recession, the7stars continues to successfully build its business and is currently delivering growth of 16 per cent year-on-year. In the last year the agency has recruited more than 24 new employees and has secured 10 new clients including: Suzuki, Payment Council & McArthurGlen. The agency’s diverse roster includes: Phones 4u, Ministry of Sound, Discovery Channel, Suzuki cars and Gumtree.com.

Jenny Biggam, co-founder of the7stars, commented: “This the first time we have entered these awards so to rank fifth is a huge achievement for the7stars, and a huge credit to the hard working and highly talented team of people who work for the agency.

“The last year has been a truly landmark one for us. Many said that independent agencies were a dying breed, but we had other ideas. It is our independent positioning and our flexible and collaborative approach that have brought us success thus far.  The difference in our industry is the people, so over investing in our staff to ensure they are happy, full of energy and motivated is without doubt the best way to deliver the very best quality of work for our clients, and this is something we know they appreciate.”
