The Nissan Tough Love Team Kicks off in 2015

The Nissan Tough Love Team Kicks off in 2015
This week, The AFL Footy Show will see the return of the Nissan Tough Love Team; the major integration segment between The AFL Footy Show and Nissan Australia which is managed by Dentsu Aegis.

Back for its third year, the Nissan Tough Love team are a group of dedicated tradies that visit local footy clubs, netball clubs and homes across the footy season; lending a helping hand in the form of a renovation to the value of $10,000 - whether it be a footy club room, school hall or family home renovation.

As part of 2015 Tough Love partnership, Nissan will award one of the lucky recipients with an all-new Nissan NP300 Navara, coming soon to the Australian market.

Nissan has been a major sponsor of both The AFL Footy Show and The NRL Footy show since 2009 with the property constantly evolving over the six year period.

Richard Emery, Nissan’s CEO and managing director says: “We have a long and solid history with The Footy Show. We’re constantly working with the show on how we can bring Nissan and footy together; and seamlessly into the homes of The Footy Show viewers.”

In 2014, the Nissan Tough Love Team ventured across Victoria helping out local communities and clubs including Tyabb Junior Football Club. After completion of renovating the team club rooms, Di Elliot, Tyabb club manager says: “To see the sea of smiling faces and the kids jumping around with excitement was so wonderful. As much as we are absolutely delighted with the work the Nissan Tough Love team did at our club, the greater benefit was the feeling it has given us back.”

The executive producer of The AFL Footy Show, Brent Williams, says it’s great to have Nissan on board.

“Our mates at Nissan are the longest standing sponsor of the show. We’ve worked on some great projects together and Tough Love is the perfect example. We’re looking forward to building on the success of past years into 2015,” he said.

The partnership is managed by Natalie Kean out of Dentsu Aegis, Melbourne who oversees a team of sponsorship specialists to service larger media sponsorships and integration across the Group.
