The year seems to have started with a bang; everyone is so upbeat and busy. And at LBB we’re busier than ever so I thought it would be worth giving you a belated New Year update on all the exciting changes that are happening here.
After an eventful year at LBB HQ we have now launched our new site. At this stage it’s a soft launch but you will notice a stack of new features and there will be more new updates weekly. We have built the new offering after talking to the LBB community about what you need and what you feel would benefit your companies. The new site and the way it works will also allow our editorial team to do more of what they do best.
We are so proud of what we have created and we believe it is a bit of a one-off. The site is completely free for everyone to view and we don’t penalise users with subs fees to use and view the content. We feel that approach is a little… shall we say… 1990s.
You can now view and search the site by region, city, category of work and even genre. Need to find some comedy car ads? You can. Free. And you can store that work in favourite folders at no cost. All very cool if you are researching agencies or directors. If you are one of the many companies that has a paid-up ‘company page’ you can upload your press releases to the site, upload your favourite pieces of work to the site and tag them with so much detail they will be found without users even knowing they are looking for them. It’s a beautiful, intuitive thing. It means that as part of the LBB creative community you never need to beg for column space and your work is there for tens of thousands of brand marketers, agency creatives, and prod co people to see. They can then connect with you directly through the site.
But there is much more to it than that. Individuals can set up their own personal page, and companies can list any new career openings or up-and-coming events. This is just the start.
The team at LBB are a passionate lot and they have worked tirelessly to create something unique. We feel that we have built a democratic platform that celebrates global creativity. Our site covers advertising, production, post, design, strategy and more. The team who work here all have a real understanding of what is happening in the business and users and companies that want to market their work really need.
I really hope you like the site, there is loads more to come. Loads.
As well as the new site we have big plans this year. The site is now being read by advertising folk all over the world. We want to build on that and create a truly global creative platform. The editorial team have been working hard to develop new features and more dynamic content - and their plan for the year is killer. However, being unable to sit still for long, we want to move faster and we plan to open offices in many more regions. So we are looking for people to join our ranks.
We want to find people who have that insider knowledge of local markets, self-motivated people who understand advertising, production and post; people who have a real passion for the business and love all things creative. We love entrepreneurial types and those who want to do things slightly differently. We run a neat independent company at LBB and we want to find some new talent to help us in new territories.
