David McCandless, co-founder of the Awards and author of the world-famous ‘Information is Beautiful’ and recently published ‘Knowledge is Beautiful’ books, says: “Three years ago we created the Kantar Information is Beautiful Awards as data visualization was then a new, emerging and rapidly growing design form used across all kinds of disciplines to tell data stories and engage users, but there was no way of showing off global best practice. We created the Kantar Information is Beautiful Awards in order to develop a global benchmark for quality and innovation in data visualization and infographics, as well as to nurture upcoming talent by providing a platform for beautiful work to be shown and recognised.”
Aziz Cami, co-founder of the Awards and Kantar Creative Director, adds: “We are delighted to see how the Awards continue to grow year on year, attracting global entries in their hundreds as it brings together the global data visualization community to celebrate and reward excellence and beauty in data visualization, infographics and information design. The Awards Party provides a reason to bring together some of the best experts in this new discipline and skill, enabling new, exciting connections across our community. We are already looking forward to next year!”.
