Blood Normal and Nothing Beats a Londoner were the UK’s big trophy winners as the Immortal Awards kicked off its global showcase tour at the Ham Yard Hotel in London last Thursday.
Bringing an end to the inaugural year of the Immortal Awards, the showcase was an opportunity for London’s advertising scene to see this year’s Immortal and Commendation winning work in it's full glory, on the big screen.
Over 500 companies from around the world entered this year’s Immortal Awards but just four projects won an inaugural Immortal trophy, with a further 12 receiving Commendations.
The UK winners were honoured on the night, with Talon’s Nick Mawditt presenting AMV BDDO, Somesuch, Felt and Cinelab London with their trophies for Bodyform and Libresse’s Blood Normal. Riff Raff, Time Based Arts, Final Cut and Cinelab London then picked up their trophies for Nike’s Nothing Beats a Londoner.
The two UK commendations – Mother’s FCK for KFC and AMV BBDO’s Trash Isles for LadBible/Plastic Oceans Foundation – were also presented with their prize ahead of the panel on bringing immortal ideas to life.
Chaired by LBB’s global editor Laura Swinton, the panel saw AMV’s creative partners Nadja Lossgott and Nick Hulley, senior strategist Margaux Revol, Mother’s ECD Hermeti Balarin and Traktor’s Patrik von Kursentsjerna exploring their award-winning campaigns to a packed-out venue.
Information and dates for this year’s Immortal Awards and global showcase tour will be published in the coming weeks. Entry to next year's award continues to be free for all LBB members, so if you'd like to sign up (or upgrade your membership to include more entries) then you can do so
