A hand-picked global jury, composed of jurors from each regional jury, will be deciding which projects may be awarded Immortal or Commendation status in the final round of judging.
Awards director Paul Monan comments: “This year, we set out to expand the Immortal Awards with a series of regional competitions that would shine a spotlight on incredible local work, judged by those who understand its cultural nuances, its effectiveness and would fight for it on a global stage. Five jury days and 44 jurors later, we have a wonderfully diverse list of projects going through to the final round from all corners of the world. Our European jury were as dedicated and thorough as the other regions and have picked four projects that they believe will stand out internationally. We can’t wait to see which of the 29 projects on the global shortlist will be awarded Immortal status on 20th November!”
Entries to this year’s Immortal Awards were up 50% globally, with entries received from 52 countries.
Those on the first-ever European jury are Malcolm Poynton, global chief creative officer of Cheil Worldwide, Bruno Bertelli, global chief creative officer of Publicis Worldwide, Jose Miguel Sokoloff, global president of MullenLowe Group Creative Council and chief creative officer of MullenLowe Group UK, Ana Balarin, executive creative director of Mother London, Vicki Maguire, chief creative officer of Havas London, David Kolbusz, chief creative officer of Droga5 London, Toby Allen, deputy executive creative director of AMV BBDO, Fura Johannesdotir, chief design officer of HUGE, Owen Lee, chief creative officer of FCB Inferno, Laura Gregory, founder of Great Guns, Lottie Cooper, managing director, integrated advertising of Framestore, and Gary Szabo, chief creative officer of Tag.
