Dedicated local jury sees 17 projects on shortlist, with seven finalists proceeding to North American regional round of judging

The Immortal Awards has today unveiled the shortlist and finalists from Canada, following a virtual round of judging on Tuesday 5th October, hosted in partnership with global partners Nice Shoes and regional partners Whitehouse Post.

The Immortal Awards successfully introduced regional judging last year and has taken this one step further by introducing local rounds for 2021.

In total, the 17 highest scoring projects from across the first round of Canadian judging made this year’s shortlist. The 17 projects were then debated by a local jury in a virtual round of discussions to determine which projects, if any, should receive finalist status and proceed to the North American round of judging, alongside finalists from the US. Seven Canadian entries have been selected as finalists and have qualified for the regional round of judging.

The regional North American round of judging will take place on Friday 15th of October, with a North American jury selecting which projects will go on to the final round.

The final, global round of judging will then take place on Thursday 18th November, in which all regional finalists will compete for an Immortal Award or Commendation status.

Those on the Canadian jury were Peter Ignazi (Cossette), Zak Mroueh (Zulu Alpha Kilo), Denise Rossetto (Broken Heart Love Affair), Danielle Kappy (Frank Content), Alexis Bronstorph (Taxi), Harv Glazer (Nice Shoes), Nathalie Cusson (Juniper Park TBWA), Josh Stein (McCann), Jen Rossini (FCB Toronto) and Joel Holtby (Rethink).
