The shortlist for the inaugural Immortal Awards has been announced today, as the jury descend upon New York in preparation for the final round of judging. The 85 highest scoring pieces of work from across the globe will be debated and deliberated by jurors on Friday 2nd November – aptly the Day of the Dead!
The Immortal Awards were launched to challenge the way our industry celebrates and benchmarks the talent in this business. By making the award free-to-enter for members and limiting each company to a maximum of five entries, work from across the globe has been judged on a level playing field. Subsequently, the shortlist contains work from 23 countries from across the globe.
Founder of LBB and The Immortal Awards Matt Cooper comments: “We have some of the best creative work from this year on the shortlist - and it's not just the same projects that we’ve seen at every other award show. We’re thrilled to see such a diverse range of work coming from creative companies around the world, from the big networks to the independents, across the agency, production and post-production worlds. We’re all incredibly excited to see which pieces of work our jury will deem Immortal on Friday!”
The Immortal Awards jury is comprised of the most accomplished creative professionals from around the globe. Only the very best and most memorable work will be awarded with entrants in the running to take home either a Commendation or one of the first ever Immortal Awards. The trophies will be reserved for creative executions that jurors believe will live long in the memory of their audiences.
Awards director Paul Monan says: “We’ve been very lucky to have some of the industry’s most exceptional creative minds on board to make the important deliberations that will name our first winners. It’s going to be a tough task for our jurors to decide which work is Immortal, but it should be an exciting day of debate and deliberation. This jury will set the standard for years to come and we can’t wait to see which projects are worthy of Immortal status.”
The shortlisted works are listed below with their entrant companies. Winning work will be released with full credits.
