The Human Body Is a New Frontier of Exploration in Thorne's Experiential Activation

Droga5's campaign takes consumers on a journey to the human body for the health and technology company
Thorne, a health and technology company that is disrupting prevention and wellness, brings its brand to life through the launch of its first marketing campaign, 'The Frontier Within.' The campaign, rolling out today, takes consumers on a journey to the forefront of the new frontier of exploration: the human body.

Thorne believes that the next frontier of human progress lies within our own bodies, which is the inspiration behind the company’s innovative health solutions. This philosophy is at the core of the brand campaign, the components of which include online film, social and search as well as an offline experience that captures Thorne’s belief that health and innovation go hand in hand.

“Science is progressing faster within the health space than in many other fields of discovery. As a brand focused on innovative, personalised health solutions that’s pioneering the movement toward health care in the home, Thorne is uniquely positioned to lead this trend. ‘The Frontier Within’ campaign allows us to communicate our value to consumers in an artful and memorable way,” said Michelle Crow, chief marketing officer, Thorne.

To bring the campaign to life, Thorne launched an experiential activation at Studio 525 in New York City where visitors were able to create their own unique Inner Selfies. These images depicted visitors from an angle that will change the way they see themselves and their health forever. 

Visitors to 'The Frontier Within' experience were connected to biometric sensors that capture respiratory, circulatory and neurological biodata, which were digitally mapped across their whole body and visualised on a larger-than-life screen, ready to share on their social feeds using #FrontierWithin. 

The activation, which is the result of a collaboration with experiential collective Marshmallow Laser Feast, is complemented by a web version at that also generates a digital Inner Selfie that users can share. Audiences are then invited to explore relevant Thorne health solutions, including those pertinent to the inner systems identified through their Inner Selfies.
