The Golden Award of Montreux Opens for Entries

The Golden Award of Montreux is open to all agencies, advertisers and production companies worldwide. Both national and international campaigns may compete. All advertising and marketing communications used since January 1st 2022 are eligible as entries.

Last year in total 44 Gold Medals were awarded across eight main categories: Media, Digital, Print, Outdoor, Film, Event and Corporate Film. As well as picking up the 2022 Ad of the Year, BETC Paris also received two other Gold Medals. Another big winner was German agency Serviceplan, which was awarded five Gold Medals.

Since 1989, The Golden Award of Montreux has been seen as the first international competition to honour outstanding work across the areas of advertising, media, digital and events. In an industry in which awards are a currency, The Golden Award of Montreux is viewed as a rich prize, recognising the great work made during the preceding 12 months - a salute to the world’s best communication. Alongside The Golden Award of Montreux, The Montreux Talent Award category is a distinguished global competition entered by hundreds of students and young professionals working on innovative projects in the fields of advertising, e-content and design. It was launched in partnership with Swiss Media and highlights new and emerging international talents. Each winner uses the Talent Award as a platform to display their work to leading international experts.

Winners are promoted through international press releases and publicity campaigns. They are also featured in the showcase section of the website and adforum, the gateway to the advertising world.

The jury is the heart of The Golden Award of Montreux.

The 2023 jury consists of high-profile professionals from 20 countries. With their experience, the independent jurors guarantee the high quality of the competition. The different competences and specialisations of the members ensure a balanced evaluation of the competition entries.

Jury chairs are among others Frank Bodin, president of Art Director Club Switzerland; Symonne Torpy, head of Cross-Channel Conception; BETC Etoile Rouge; Joseph Dubruque, associate creative director, McCANN Paris; Jeannette Liendo, senior vice president, marketing and communications Mastercard Europe; Adam Kerj, chief creative officer, Accenture Interactive Nordics; Mayara Schmidt, senior art director, Johannes Leonardo New York City. The Golden Award of Montreux Jury is looking forward to seeing this year's submissions.

Commenting on his chairing role, Frank Bodin says: "Montreux is the place of world-class creativity. As a musician, you have to have been to the Montreux Jazz Festival. As an advertiser, you have to have won a Golden Award of Montreux. Go for it!“
