The Gate Worldwide took home seven trophies at the 20th FCS Portfolio Awards for its client State Street Global Advisors at the gala on Thursday, May 1st in New York. The agency won three Gold, two Silver and two Bronze Trophies in the prestigious TV, print and digital categories respectively.The Portfolio Awards are produced by the Financial Communications Society (FCS) to recognise excellence in financial advertising, collateral, digital media, public relations and return on investment. The marketing and communications work honoured was executed during the 2013 calendar year. “The Gate is honored to be recognized once again for its creative work among such admirable agency competitors like Droga5 and CP+B,” said Beau Fraser, president of The Gate | New York. “State Street Global Advisors has been a great client partner for nearly nine years. The FCS Portfolio Awards Gala, is the largest and most prestigious show for financial marketers in the world, attracted nearly 500 guests from the advertising, PR, media, design and financial industries.
This year’s awards were presented by Liza Landsman, CMO of E*TRADE, Patrick Corry, head of marketing for UBS Wealth Management Americas and Vinoo Vijay, CMO of TD Bank.
This year’s awards competition included nearly 425 entries, with Gold, Silver and Bronze trophies awarded for ROI, public relations, collateral, web sites, and advertising in print, television, out-of-home, direct mail, interactive and multimedia categories. Winning entries were received from financial services providers, including investment firms, credit card companies, investment banks, brokerages and exchanges, insurance companies, mutual funds, ETFs, hedge funds, accounting firms, clearing corporations and commercial banks.
