The Essential List: Joeri Jansen
Joeri Jansen is partner and creative director of the ad agency Roorda. He’s built a career on using communication to change behaviour, which he’s been doing successfully for many years. 

Before Roorda, Joeri founded Benelux agency Rich in Amsterdam / Famous in Brussels. He began his career in 1996 at JWT Amsterdam and was also international creative director at FHV BBDO Amsterdam. Recently he’s worked with clients like MONO (from the Dutch Ministry of Infrastructure and Water Management), changing the social norm about smartphone usage while driving and cycling, and NIX18, preventing teenagers from starting smoking.

In 2018 Joeri, world renowned photographer Wolfgang Tillmans and architect Rem Koolhaas initiated #votetogether, a grassroots campaign to raise voter turnout during the European elections.
